day 5 snack and dinner
For snack I cut back a bit, 1/4 c cherries, 5 olives, and yogurt 1/4 c. Yummy filling and the rounded me up to 1200 cal for the day. This evening Rotten made dinner, ground chicken, pesto, and whole wheat pasta. 438 cal per serving so that means 38 cal over not bad. It's been a good day and Rotten made a good dinner. Have fun and happy eating! =)
Day 5
Day 5 lunch... yumm. I had tunafish, 1/2 c carrots, 2 wedges of french onion laughing cow cheese, and four garlic stuffed olives. Rotten bought these yummy new olives... they rock sox!!! rotten rules. I had all of that a bottle of water and all of that for 434 calories. Yes a little over, but I can fix that for snack. happy eating =)
Day 5
Good morning all! Rotten and I had cream of wheat this morning. I added 1tsp of butter, 3 tsp of brown sugar and about a tsp of cinnamon, 3 c of milk and abt 1 1/4 cup of cream of wheat. that makes about 3 servings. that is abt 294 cal a serving... yum. 1/4 c rainins for rotten and dried cherries for me 160 cal per serving and mufa abt 160 cal. bringing breakfast to a grand total of... 614 cal. woops! over did it on calories this morning by 214. I guess it's a good thing the Boy insisted on going on a walk. next time... a little less serving size on the cream of wheat and everything else should be fine. Todays lesson... when trying to make shit up on the fly... count calories first then serving size... not the other way around. Remember patience is a virture... just not one that I happen to have. Note to Rotten... don't worry your lunch and snack are cool... yes I measured! =) I just have to remeber that I'm only adding 100 cal per meal. Till next time... happy eating. =)

Day 4
So here is the final day of the detox. I really messed up... I forgot my RGW at home. I chugged it when I got home, but all of that hard work and I forgot. Oh well. All of the meals were good. No hunger with them. Cherrios with raisins are yummy! Nothing terrible significant happened. I wasn't as tired today, so I am going to try to lay off of the coffee. I won't cut it out completely, but I will cut down on it. I made a pretty darn good dinner. I call it tuna melt. Sautee some shollots, garlic and herb Mrs. Dash (no salt), two cans of tuna, 2 tbls of olive oil and two wedges of low fat Laughing Cow garlic and herb cheese. And some rice and peas and Bam apretty yummy dinner. It is amazing how aware I have become of calories and salt. I guess that's really the point... a healthier lifestyle. I am amazed... hardly any cravings. I have a little bit of craving for salt and caffine, but no food cravings... cool.

Day 3
Good evening friends today started with one statement... OH SHIT! This morning I woke up with my bladder and saw the clock at 6:16. The only thing that went through my head was oh God I only have three points left... I Can't be Late. I took a deep breath went to the bathroom and made a plan. Get ready and I should have enough time to be a little late (as long as it before 30 minutes) and still make our food. It was very important to me to get through these four days. If Ican get through them the rest should be pretty smooth sailing. Luckly a cooler head (OK not that much cooler) and a swift throw together of meals made for a dayfilled with the correct caloric intake. Today went rather well, all of the meals tasted good, the only draw back again was lack of caffeine. Sooo sleepy... zzzzz. Until I get home, and then I'm fine. The bright spot today was thankfully dinner. Salmon hash (my creation, thank you very much) ROX SOX!!! Have fun and happy eating! =)

Day 2
Well day two was interesting. Day 1 was at home. Today was at work. Again my hunger was sated. Unfortunately there were a few tempations that reared their ugly heads. For instance I am sporting a headache that has benn growing since about noon. I can't wait till Friday to have some caffiene. I am trying to stick firmly to the plan so a little pain will be worth all of the gain. Besides the first four days will be the hardest so if I can do it the rest should go great. Don't get me wrong it has been pretty easy.
Let's start with last nights dinner. 4 oz of shark steak, roasted red potatos (1/2 c), green beans (1 c), and of course Sassy water. The fish and potatos turned out pretty well, although the potatos took much longer than I wanted. Green beans didn't turn out very well. I over seasoned them trying to make them more appitizing for rotten, and it did not work. The other thing that was missing was salt, but that is only for the next two days.
Breakfast this morning with a nice suprise. I bought some prunes because they were on the list. I thought they would be disgusting, but much to my suprise they RULE! Screw candy, prunes are soft sticky and sweet and loaded with flavor. If I ever get a crazy craving for candy I just pick up some prunes. I thought through all of the negative press they would suck, Thank you nature sweet.
Lunch was rather filling and I justified my position perfectly. I forgot today was our monthly team meeting day. We always eat at the meeting. The menu for all was hoagies, and chips including someone making meatballs for a sub. I sat down with my 3 oz tuna, 1 c carrots, and a string cheese. One of my coworkers was lamenting how I couldn't the fatty food and said, "That Sucks." To which I replied, "No actually being fat sucks. This is pretty easy." Yeah to will power.
While eating my snack of yogurt and grapes my manager told me she was very impressed with my fortitude with sticking to the diet. I told her I was taking baby steps one day at a time.
Dinner was wild rice, which againg didn't turn out as well as I wanted, tilpia which was ok, and sauteed bell and orange peppers, which I loved and Rotten hated. Oh well, note to self give him vegetables he likes and grow slowly. Baby steps... baby steps.
Well kids that's it for this exciting day have fun and happy eating! =)

Day 1 Ok a little more
So I read Rotten's Blog (my boyfriend) and realized I needed to be a bit more verbose. What are MUFAs? MUFAs are Monounsaturated Fatty Acids and I eat them with every meal (about 1/4 cup). They are found in nuts, olives, avacados, oils, and dark chocolate. The dark chocolate I will probably develope a taste for. I pretty much love them all except for chocolate. Especially the olives... let's see here a diet that I can eat garlic stuffed olives with every meal...YUMMMM!
I had a cup of Cherrios, 1 c of skim milk, 1/2 cup of apple sauce and 1 glass of RGW (Sassy water), and 1/4 c of nuts. Then for lunch 4 oz of turkey (really good new vender from Albertons), 1 pint of grape tomatos, 1/4 c of nuts, and RGW. Who knew all of that is only 300 calories. I love tomatos, couldn't believe I could eat all of that! My snack was a small serving of vanilla yogurt (it was supposed to be key lime, oh well), a pint of blueberries, MUFA, and RGW. I love blueberries they are sweet and a little tart and just yummy. My snack was good, I love fruits and veggies... they just make me happy. Yah I know... I'm weird. Well about to start dinner and I'm a little hungry. It started as emotional hunger (in my head... olives sound really good) now it is in my tummy (meaning I actually am hungry). Dinner isn't that far away and I will eat 2 olives and feel better. Talk to ya soon.
